Privacy
Subscribdle is intended for players 13 and older. Google sign-in and YouTube clips are not directed at children under 13.
Subscribdle stores your in-progress game and personal stats in your browser’s localStorage. You can play as a guest with no account. Guest stats stay on this device and are not verified.
Optional Google sign-in saves your per-day results (win or loss, and which clue you solved on) so your streak follows you to other devices. Signed-in streaks are recorded when you finish the daily on the server, not from numbers the browser uploads later. The first time you sign in, we copy this browser’s guest results if the account has none yet. We also store which YouTubers you’ve finished, so Categories and Random can skip repeats unless you turn that off. We store a Google account id, your Google email, the display name Google sends, an optional multiplayer nickname you choose, those results, and that preference on the game server for as long as the account record exists. We use the email only to match you on sign-in. We never see or store your Google password, we do not request Drive or contacts, and we do not use your email for marketing.
Anonymous guess counts (which catalog name was tried at which clue stage) are stored on the server to show “common answers.” Those counts are not stored with an IP address or a Google account.
Creator opt-out and add-me forms collect the name, channel, and optional contact you type, so a request can be reviewed. To stop spam, those forms also store your IP address for about 15 minutes in a rate-limit file on the server. Public forms are limited to a few submissions per IP in that window.
Admin login uses an httpOnly cookie on this site only. Player sign-in uses a separate httpOnly cookie. YouTube and OpenAI API keys, when configured, stay on the server and are never sent to players.
Questions about privacy or this policy: hello@subscribdle.com. Creators can also use the opt-out form.
